PORTUGAL: Associação Desportiva Cultural e Social de Carvalhais (The “Carvalhais Social, Cultural and Sport Association”- ADCS Carvalhais) was founded in 1992 and some of the most important activities of this local sport association during many years have been the organization and participation in football tournaments, most recently mountain biking and other type of sport activities bring a new dynamic to the association. They also work very closely with the local community in the organization of sport festivals and celebrations related with rural area where our organization is established.

In 2017 a new management team lead by the president Pedro Correia arrived in to this 25-year-old organization and a “new era” starts since that day. Today, the “Carvalhais Social, Cultural and Sport Association” is a young and dynamic organization based in the north of Portugal but with the eyes on the Europe and in the rest of the World. They are experience in five Erasmus+ Sport Projects and we want to continue to give opportunity to our members and community to participate in sport events and other kind of sport activities at international level. They are an umbrella organization in partnership with 22 different local sport clubs from their region.

The Erasmus+ program it’s one of the most important programs on the EU to give support to our vision and give also the possibility to our members and community to develop themselves and make friendship with people from other countries. They have team with an exthensive knowledge and experience in many different sports because most of the people that are working in ADCS Carvalhais association are Sport Professionals (teachers, coaches and sport managers).
